About the Producers

Mike De Caro is an Italian filmmaker based in New York City. His goal is to make films that combine entertainment and artistic vision. Concrete is Mike’s fifth collaboration with Chelvendra Sathieaanandha.

Andy Nguyen is the son of two Vietnamese “boat people” that escaped in 1975 when Communism fell over Vietnam. Andy was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, but spent his summers in Vietnam where his uncles were at the forefront of post Vietnam War cinema. During these summers, he played small roles on the screen until his uncles realized his acting skills weren’t up to par and they put him where he found his inspiration – behind the camera. Since then he has made films in Vietnam and in the US with his films screening all over the world and winning more than a dozen awards including the Jimmy Stewart Memorial Crystal Heart Award (2005), FAIF Most Promising Student Filmmaker Award (2005), and the Playboy/Bombay Sapphire Imaginative Filmmakers Spotlight Grand Prize (2012).
