About the Writer/Director

Marisa Medina is a Directing MFA Candidate at Columbia University, making this project, ‘Fault Lines’ her Non-Thesis. From 2004 to 2005 she worked as a Casting Assistant in Los Angeles with reputable Casting Directors: Sarah Finn, Randi Hiller (“Dreamer: Inspired By A True Story”, “Gridiron Gang”) and Barbara Fiorentino (“The Shield”). She later went on to work in the corporate environment, which forced her confront and embrace her creativity. After taking Screenwriting courses at UCLA Extension and attending Robert McKee’s Story Seminar she decided to further her artistic education at the Ivy League level. While at Columbia, the emotional rewards of Directing never cease to amaze her and has since directed two short films: “Tru & Dre” and “Penelope Chase”.

About the Co-Writer

Andrew Duncan Visser is a Welsh born writer-director based in New York and London. He is a Royal Television Society award nominee, and his films have screened at festivals around the world, winning numerous prizes and accolades. As a university lecturer he teaches at one of the longest established film schools in the UK. He has a first class BA in Film and Video from the Surrey Institute of Art & Design and is currently enrolled in the MFA Film Program at Columbia University, where he is undertaking thesis work.
