About the Writer/Director
Rob Richert graduated from Columbia University’s MFA film program with a focus in directing in the Spring of 2013. The two short films he directed while in the program, My Name Is Your First Love and No One But Lydia, have enjoyed lengthy festival runs including selection in Telluride, Palm Springs Shorts Fest, and San Francisco International, as well as airtime on PBS in a program called Film School Shorts. He has won three best short awards at the San Francisco Indie, Florida Film Festival, and Napa Valley Film Festival.
Rob is currently living in the Bay Area, writing and teaching filmmaking at Diablo Valley College.
About the Producer
Daniel Grossman is a third year MFA Candidate with a concentration in Creative Producing. Solid Ground is Daniel’s thesis film. Based in New York City and Los Angeles, Daniel produces narrative and commercial work for screens of all sizes. Projects Daniel has produced have been showcased in international film festivals, on television, and on major web outlets. Currently, Daniel is developing two feature films, both genre projects, with colleagues he met in the Columbia MFA Film program.
