About the Writer/Director
LEE STRATFORD was born in the U.S. but grew up primarily in Beijing, Hong Kong and Taichung. His previous short film went to the 2009 Sundance Film Festival.
About the Producer
ANDY NGUYEN (producer) is the son of two Vietnamese “boat people,” who escaped in 1975 when Communism fell over Vietnam. Andy was born and raised in Tampa, Florida, but spent his summers in Vietnam where his uncles were at the forefront of post-Vietnam War cinema. During these summers, he played small roles on the screen until his uncles realized his acting skills weren’t up to par. Instead, they put him where he found his inspiration – behind the camera. Since then he has made films in Vietnam and in the U.S. with his work screening all over the world and winning more than a dozen awards, including the Jimmy Stewart Memorial Crystal Heart Award (2005), FAIF Most Promising Student Filmmaker Award (2005), and the Playboy/Bombay Sapphire Imaginative Filmmakers Spotlight Grand Prize (2012).
