About the Writer/Director

MINJI KANG (director) is a visual artist working in Cinema. She received her B.F.A. from the School of the Arts Institute of Chicago (SAIC) where she focused on Film Art and Aesthetics. She continued her artistic development in Columbia University’s M.F.A. Film Directing program. During this time she focused on the craft of writing and the various narrative aspects of film. The cinematic art form has been a delightful canvas, a virtual playground, where her boundless imagination, sensual melodies and candy-colored hopes and dreams collide to fashion gripping narratives played in an often minor key. Kang is currently writing a script about a troubled musician falling in love with a blind girl.

About the Writer

STORM GARNER has long been haunted by the ephemeral nature of live performance, but undeniably formed as a storyteller from her vivid experiences working in experimental theater, music, and performance art. Storm has been a student of film studies and creative writing at Columbia University in the General Studies program since 2008, and hopes to someday master a more archivable medium. She now works regularly with moving images in a variety of creative capacities and enjoys helping her fellow filmmakers realize their storytelling dreams however she can, while connecting talented artists to one another, and continuously learning from a diverse set of creative processes.
