About the Writer/Director

Writer/Director BERKLEY BRADY grew up in Alberta, Canada in the shadows of the oil industry and has long been fascinated with extreme work, the often disturbing beauty of industrial areas, and bringing Alberta’s cinematic landscape and stories to a wider audience. She entered the film industry, first assisting documentary filmmakers, thanks to a grant from Telefilm Canada in 2006. While pursuing her MFA in Directing at Columbia, she also produced a thesis film that premiered at Sundance, The Immaculate Reception, and interned as a reader for the companies, Likely Story (Synecdoche, New York; The Ice Storm; Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) and Cooper’s Town (Capote).
