About the Writer/Director

Barbara Cigarroa’s last short film, Marta Rosa, starring Mexican Ariel Winner Adriana Paz, has played at numerous festivals around the world including the Austin Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival and Palm Springs International Shortfest, where it won both the Panavision Best North American Short Award and the Best Student Film Under Fifteen Minutes. Indiewire named it one of the “5 Essential Short Films” programmed at the Palm Springs festival.

About the Producer

Starting in casting at Ireland’s National Theatre, Julie O'Leary has since become an IFP Marcie Bloom Fellow and received the Arthur Krim Award. Julie has also read for the Hamptons Film Festival Screenwriting LAB, as well as acting as a programming screener for the festival. Her most recent short, I’m In Here, premiered at Slamdance 2017 and previous shorts have played at BFI, Tampere, Seattle International Film Festival, Frameline, Uppsala and OutFest.
