About the Writer/Director

Fabio Montanari is a Brazilian filmmaker based in New York City and holds an MFA in Screenwriting from Columbia University, which he attended on a Fulbright scholarship. Fabio’s work has been screened in many festivals, including Palm Springs International Shortfest and the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Coming from a country with one of the highest levels of social disparity in the world, for Fabio, filmmaking offers a unique opportunity to provide entertainment, while bringing about social change.

About the Producer

Nayantara Roy is an MFA candidate and a fellow of the Creative Producing program at Columbia University. She is a former journalist and a published playwright. During her time at Columbia, Nayantara has been the recipient of the Katharina Otto-Bernstein Grant as well as the Arthur Krim Memorial Award.
