About the Writer/Director
Valerie Schenkman is a Chilean American artist, who pursues storytelling through narrative filmmaking, documentary and the visual arts. She has worked internationally as a multimedia journalist in places like Afghanistan, Palestine and Haiti. She is now pursuing an MFA in Screenwriting and Directing at Columbia University, where she took a semester off to study cinematography at the Film and Television School in Prague (FAMU). Her work has been screened in the U.S. Congress, aired on National Public Radio and displayed in Times Square.
About the Producer
Alex Peace is a filmmaker based in New York, originally from Manchester, UK. She moved to the US to study filmmaking at Columbia University. While pursuing her studies, Alex Peace freelances on set as Producer and Production Manager.
