About the Writer/Director
Mengwei Ma was born in Shandong, China. She is a director/writer based in Beijing. She obtained her BFA in Film and Cinematography from Syracuse University in 2014. Her thesis project, Fig, won the Emerging Artist Award in the student film section in 2014 Syracuse International Film Festival. In 2017, she graduated from Columbia University with an MFA degree in Film Directing.
About the Producer
Beijing-born Tianqi Zhuo is an international film producer, based in New York and Beijing. She graduated from the University of Miami with a BA in Film Production and Studio Arts in 2014, and received an MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia University in 2017. She started her own company in 2017 and so far has produced many award-winning shorts and three co-production features.
