About the Writer/Director

Born and raised in Ecuador, Jesahel Newton-Bernal studied film and animation and has worked as a freelance animator and illustrator for over six years. She is now working towards an MFA in film directing and screenwriting at Columbia University, where she continues honing her skills as a filmmaker and storyteller.

Meera Vaidya is a Los Angeles-based producer. Before moving to America, she worked on commercials for Chrome Pictures in Mumbai. She graduated with an MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia University in 2022. Meera produced multiple shorts in NYC and LA, and is developing more films. She is passionate about telling stories that not only entertain people but also provoke conversations.
