About the Writer/Director

Johnson Cheng’s films have premiered at festivals such as Tribeca (2021, 2017), AFI FEST (Audience Award 2021, Audience Award 2020), Palm Springs (2020, Best Student Film Award 2017), and Toronto. He is a recipient of the HBO APA Visionaries Award and fellowships such as Film Independent’s Project Involve and Film at Lincoln Center’s NYFF Artist Academy. He is repped by WME.

About the Producer

Apoorva Charan is an LA-based writer and producer who was born in Hyderabad, India and raised in Northern California. Charan started her career at FremantleMedia Singapore where she worked on major series including Asia's Got Talent, X Factor Indonesia and Thailand’s Got Talent as a digital producer. Passionate about narrative storytelling, Charan pursued her MFA in Film at Columbia University.
