About the Writer/Director/Producer

Szu-Wei Chen is a writer/director from Taiwan and earned his MFA from Columbia University's Graduate Film program. His first short film, JAY, was awarded the ALTERNATIVE SPIRIT AWARD SHORT FIRST Prize at the 2019 Rhode Island International Film Festival, and has played at festivals including BFI Flare and Palm Springs ShortFest. His previous short film, LAST DAY, premiered at the Maryland Film Festival. His latest short film, A NEW APARTMENT, premiered at Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival and screened at BAFICI. His feature film project, HIATUS, was selected to participate in the Taipei Film Academy’s Filmmaker’s Workshop.

About the Producer

Tarek Aryani is a writer/director and producer who received his MFA from Columbia University's Graduate Film Program.
