About the Writer/Director
A recipient of the prestigious General John Monash Scholarship, in 2018 Alies Sluiter was a Screencraft Film Fund Competition semi-finalist and received the Dame Joan Sutherland Award. Also an Australian Academy Award nominated composer, Alies has performed worldwide with artists including Nitin Sawhney, Hugh Jackman and Akram Khan, musically directing Laurence Olivier Award and Time Out Critics Award (UK) nominated shows.
About the Producer
Meng Xiong is an NYC-based Chinese writer and producer. She has written and produced short films in China, Australia, and the U.S., and is currently developing her first feature. She holds a dual BA degree in Cinema Studies and Communication Studies from the University of Iowa, and an MFA in Creative Producing from Columbia University.
