Last year, her short comedy Séance premiered at the Cannes Short Film Corner and won the Audience Choice Award at the Ivy Film Festival. In addition to directing short films, her feature script Holy New York and the Inner Moonlight won Faculty Honors in last year’s Columbia University screenplay competition. About the Producers

KRISTIN FROST (Producer) is a New York City-based producer and writer, originally from Virginia. She has a producer’s mind, but a director’s vision and loves cultivating potential; in great stories and great talent. Frost graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. in English and Creative Writing. She went on to moonlight in the filmmaking world while pretending to be an adult, working in development and event production at the Darden School of Business, the International Rescue Committee and REV, an NYC-based start-up coworking venue where she was Director. Frost is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in Creative Film Producing at Columbia University, where she has produced several short films. Stay Awake (2012), which she co-produced recently won the 2015 Slamdance Jury Prize and had its world premiere at the Berlinale. Frost was producer on the short, Sundae and co-producer and UPM on The Last Day of Charley E. Rays, an adaptation of a Kurt Vonnegut short story. She is currently in pre-production on a short entitled Search Party and her thesis film, which won the Katharina Otto-Bernstein Production Grant at the 2014 Columbia University Film Festival.

BIRGIT “BITZ” GERNBOECK was a Germany-based independent producer, line producer and production manager, before moving to New York City for the Creative Producing M.F.A. Program at Columbia University. Gernboeck worked on more than 30 television movies for German broadcasters such as ARD, ZDF, SAT1, RTL and ProSieben, full-length documentaries directed by Stanislaw Mucha. Gernboeck produced films in Italy, Austria, the UK, Tunisia and South Africa for the German production company U5 Filmproduktion. Gernboeck recently production-managed a narrative feature film Doktorspiele for Twentieth Century Fox Germany. She also worked on the documentary Prisoner of Paradise, which was nominated for an Academy Award (Best Feature Documentary) directed by Malcolm Clarke and Stuart Sender. Despite her lengthy experience, she decided to pursue an M.F.A. in Creative Producing in New York in order to broaden her network to the US, while learning more about storytelling, screenwriting, directing and creative development.
