About the Writer/Director
Clara Leac started her Filmmaking career in Paris at the International Sound and Image Institute (3IS). She then worked as a journalist for Eurochannel, where she covered the Cannes Film Festival and was part of the creative team at Sopeg, an innovative consumer electronics company in France. She also worked on several music videos before moving to New York in 2011 to pursue an MFA in Directing at Columbia University. Bittersweet Sixteen is her eighth short film.
About the Producer
Julie Begey Seureau, began her film career in Paris before moving to New York. Here Julie started her career as an independent producer working on documentaries as a Junior Producer for Studio K before becoming an Assistant Production Manager at the Walt Disney Company. She then moved to New York to pursue an MFA in Creative Producing at Columbia University. Here she produced a number of short films while simultaneously working at HBO as a Production Assistant.
