Ian McCarthy

Ian McCarthy is a Brooklyn-based film programmer. He has been the Director of Programming for the New Hampshire Film Festival for eight years. In 2021, the festival was named an Academy Award®-qualifying festival for live action and animated short films.

 

Peter Saraf

Peter Saraf is a film, television and theatre producer. Among his many credits are Little Miss Sunshine, A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, The Farewell, Everything Is Illuminated, Loving and Safety Not Guaranteed, as well as the acclaimed series Nuclear Family, Vida, and Sorry For Your Loss. He began his career producing with director Jonathan Demme on movies such as Philadelphia, Beloved, Adaptation and the Oscar nominated documentary Mandela: Son of Africa, Father of a Nation. He founded the independent producing and financing company Big Beach, which he ran for two decades. He has been nominated for Oscar, Golden Globe and Tony Awards and won Spirit, Gotham, and Producers Guild Awards.

 

Mayuran Tiruchelvam

Mayuran Tiruchelvam is a screenwriter, producer, and the Marcus Endowed Chair of Social Justice Filmmaking at San Francisco State University.

Their films include: The Girl is in Trouble (screenwriter/co-producer) for executive producer Spike Lee, Sundance premiere; To Be Takei (producer) and  SXSW Audience Award winner; The Untold Tales of Armistead Maupin (producer); and My First Kiss and the People Involved (producer). In addition to their work as a script doctor and story consultant, Mayuran has worked as a line producer and unit production manager. They are a Sundance Institute Creative Producing Fellow, Film Independent Fellow, and member of the Directors Guild of America and Producers Union.  

Their filmmaking is inspired by a vision for a more compassionate and openhearted world. Mayuran’s activist work focuses on the abolition of prisons and policing, as well as solidarity-building between global communities in resistance.

 

Jamund Washington

Jamund Washington is a NYC based film producer and Television creator. His producing work includes the 2016 Emmy Award nominated television film Silenced, the SXSW Grand Jury Prize winner Gimme the Loot, and the Netflix original Tramps, which he also co-wrote. More recently, he produced Queen of Glory and Italian Studies, both of which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival, the former winning Best Narrative Director and Best Artistic Expression, and both distributed by Magnolia Pictures. Washington is currently an Executive Producer, writer, and director on the Peabody award-winning HBO television series Random Acts of Flyness, as well as Executive Producer and head-writer on the Showtime series Ziwe.
