About the Writer/Director
Carmen Jimenez is a Spanish filmmaker who lives and works between Spain, Mexico, and New York. Born in Sevilla, Spain, Carmen started her professional career there after she graduated college, producing shorts and developing audiovisual content. She then moved to Madrid where she worked on the international sales team at Sogepaq. After being awarded a scholarship by laCaixa, she moved to New York in 2008 to pursue an MFA in Directing at Columbia University. Carmen currently teaches Screenwriting and Directing at the University in Guadalajara, Mexico while she works on her upcoming film projects.
About the Producer
Chris Boyce is a Canadian filmmaker who works in New York, Los Angeles, and Toronto. After completing his undergraduate degree in business, Chris worked as a Brand Manager in Toronto for one of Canada’s most beloved brands. He enrolled in the MFA Film program at Columbia in 2011 to pursue his lifelong passion for filmmaking, and since then his work as a Writer and Producer has screened at top-tier festivals worldwide. He is currently developing a portfolio of feature film, pilot and new media projects.
