About the Writer/Director

Growing up between the gang-controlled neighborhoods of Harlem and the world of academia, Jamal would hang out with drug dealers one night and work ivy-league internships the next. Post Winter is an examination of a hard life with seemingly no way out. Jamal holds an M.F.A. in Film from Columbia University and has worked for Comedy Central and BET.
