About the Writer/Director
Dalliance is Marisa Christine Medina’s thesis film. Prior to Columbia, she was a casting assistant in Los Angeles. After taking screenwriting courses at UCLA Extension, she decided to further her artistic education at the Ivy League level. She has since directed three short films. Her non-thesis film, Fault Lines, received Jury Honors at CUFF 2014 and premiered at the 2014 Austin Film Festival.
About the Producer
Joanna Lagstein Jacobi is a NY-based writer/producer. Her films have screened at numerous festivals including Palm Springs, Hamptons, Portland and OutFest. She received her MFA in Film from Columbia University School of the Arts and graduated with honors from University of Pennsylvania with a dual degree in Communications and English. When she’s not busy being a production and development machine, Joanna is a Marketing consultant for U.S.-based television companies.
