About the Writer/Director
Yudho Aditya was born in Indonesia and relocated to the U.S. when he was nine. The term “queer” filmmaker has been used to generally “box” him, but he really doesn’t mind and actually embraces it. His comedic short, Pipe Dream, has been selected at over 30 international film festivals and is currently being developed as a web series by Warner Brothers Television.
About the Writer
Barbara Cigarroa grew up in Texas with a multi-cultural family that has roots both in the U.S. and in Mexico. She is currently a screenwriting concentrate at Columbia University. Her short, Marta Rosa, won both the Panavision Best American Short Award and Best Student Film Under 15 minutes at the Palm Springs International ShortFest.
About the Writer
Dea Kulumbegashvili was raised in Georgia (the country!). Her debut short, Invisible Spaces, was nominated for the Palme D’Or at the Cannes International Film Festival in 2014 and was part of the retrospective “Discovering Georgian Cinema,” at MoMA. She is currently a directing candidate at Columbia University.
About the Producer
Valerie Castillo Martinez was born in Manila and is a Creative Producing candidate at Columbia University. She has made short films set in several countries including the U.S., Philippines and Spain. She started her company Indie ip with a vision to make films about underrepresented subjects and cross-cultural themes.
