About the Writer/Director

Micah Paisner hails from Chicago. From an early age, he was interested in comedy. After graduating from Lawrence University, he enrolled in Second City Chicago’s sketch writing program. He relocated to New York to get his MFA in Screenwriting at Columbia University. His scripts have been quarter finalists and semi finalists in various writing competitions, including recently taking third place in the Cinequest Film Festival Screenwriting Competition.

About the Producer

Thomas Mentel is a New York-based filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles. After graduating from UC Berkeley, he moved back to L.A. and worked for several years at the post-house Chainsaw before deciding to pursue an MFA in film at Columbia University. In addition to writing and directing, he has also served as cinematographer for various short films that have screened at festivals nationwide.
