Vladimir Mayakovsky, a prominent socialist poet of the Soviet Union, committed suicide at the height of his fame. A Cloud In Trousers depicts his struggle to find meaning after taking down ideas of the past during his last days alive.

About the Writer/Director
Ovsanna Gevorgyan is a New York-based Armenian writer/director. Her script, My Heart Is Like Those Ruined Houses, was a finalist at the Armenia-Turkey Cinema Platform and semi-finalist for the Sundance 2018 and 2019 labs. Her short, You Can't Go Home Again, was part of the San Mauro Film Festival and screened at Lincoln Center.
About the Producer
Samuel Rimland is a Brooklyn-based filmmaker. After receiving his BA from NYU, he enrolled in the Directing MFA program at Columbia University School of the Arts, and is currently finishing his 5th year. He produced several shorts during his time at Columbia, including The Many Lives of Arthur, directed by Noé Dodson, which made the shortlist for the 2016 Student Academy Awards.
