About the Writer/Director
Selman Nacar is a filmmaker who received his MFA in Film Directing at Columbia University in New York and taught a fiction filmmaking course at the same university. He graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University Law Faculty in 2015 and Film Faculty in 2016. He is an alumnus of Berlinale Talent 2019 and First Films First 2020. Selman is the owner of Kuyu Film, which produced The Pillar of Salt in 2018 and Belonging in 2019, which both premiered at Berlin Film Festival Forum Section. He directed his debut film Between Two Dawns in 2020 and is currently working on his second feature film Hesitation Wound.
About the Producer
Melik Kuru (1989, Istanbul) had his BA in Media and Visual Arts at Koc University. He was awarded with Mithat Alam Film Foundation’s Grant of Graduate Education and moved to New York in 2016. His Columbia University Thesis We Are a Family had its national premiere at Antalya International Film Festival National Short Competition. Currently, he is working on his feature debut All They Know About Love.
