During an exceptionally hot summer in Sweden, a Thai migrant worker has to navigate the forest and his increasingly quarrelsome relationship with his older brother in order to find the blueberries needed to afford passage home.

About the Writer/Director
Agnes Karlsson is an LA-based writer/director born in Stockholm. She’s a Columbia Film MFA graduate, supported by scholarships from the Sweden-America Foundation and Gålöstiftelsen. Her first short Open Doors (2020) was acknowledged at Gothenburg Film Festival, Stockholm Independent Film Festival, and Nordic International Film Festival. Agnes' second short Berry Pickers (2022) recently premiered at Gothenburg Film Festival.
About the Producer
Mona Maahn is a producer from Hamburg, Germany. She received her BA and MFA from Columbia University and has written and produced several short films. After her internship at Blumhouse she moved to LA to pursue a career in development. Mona likes films that illuminate something about our world, as she believes that film can create empathy and invoke change.
