In the scorching summer heat of Northern Sweden, two Thai brothers venture to a remote land in search of berries. But when climate change disrupts their plans, they must confront the limits of their brotherly bond, learning what it truly means to come of age in a foreign land.

Agnes is a Swedish writer and director based in Los Angeles. She graduated with Honors from Columbia University’s Film MFA program in 2022, where she was a scholarship recipient and writing fellow. Her short film, Berry Pickers (2022), received multiple awards including The Adrienne Shelly Award for Best Female Director and the University Short Film Award at Hamptons International Film Festival. The film was shortlisted for a Guldbagge Nomination, the Swedish equivalent of the Academy Awards, and screened at Telluride, Palm Springs ShortFest, Interfilm Berlin, Edinburgh Film Fest, Hamptons, among other festivals. It is currently available for streaming on Draken Film. Her feature script Beery Pickers won the 2022 BlueCat Screenplay Competition and was selected for the Cine Qua Non Script Revision Lab. Her feature script, Pygmalion, received Faculty Honors at the Columbia University Film Festival in 2022 and was a Finalist for the Hamptons International Screenwriting Lab in 2023. Agnes’ work explores the intricacies of the human experience, often featuring characters trapped in confined situations or relationships. In 2021, Agnes was an episode writer on the comedy show Hallberg for SVT. She is the recipient of SWEA’s Los Angeles Film and Culture Scholarship (2023), and is currently developing her first feature film with the Swedish production company PINE.
