Set in 1918 New England, in a town where its inhabitants are turning into crazed murderers, a shell shocked veteran, a drug-addicted doctor, and a hard-boiled detective must uncover the mystery behind the insidious phenomenon during the height of the Spanish Flu.

Eric Yang is a bilingual screenwriter and director from Taiwan. After receiving his BA in Creative Writing from University of Washington, he joined Columbia University’s Film MFA Program, focusing on directing and TV writing. Eric has extensive independent film production experience in Seattle, New York City, and Taiwan, and he focuses on creating character-driven genre stories that fuses Asian mythologies with western fantasy. His feature screenplay, Hoping, is a recipient of the 2022 Sloan Screenplay award.
