About the Writer/Director

Maggie Talbot-Minkin is a screenwriter and director who came to genre films by way of absurdist theater. Maggie focuses her work on female-driven horror films, with a particular affinity for female villains and antiheroes. Her films aim to unpack the terror, beauty, power, and violence of moving through the world in a femme body. In 2023, Maggie won the inaugural William Goldstein/Dr. Phibes Award for Screenwriting, as well as a production grant for “Our House” from Couper Samuelson of Blumhouse Studios. Maggie currently teaches undergraduate screenwriting at Columbia University.

About the Producer

Claire Hackett is a NYC-based graduating Creative Producer at Columbia University dedicated to telling subversive stories across diverse genres while creating safe and supportive working environments. She champions filmmakers’ visions, sharpens story, and bridges art and business.
Claire has a background in supporting writers, nonprofit management, and event producing. Currently, she partners with film and media organizations supporting underrepresented filmmakers to coordinate programming for Gotham Week.
