About the Writer/Director

Mehrnoush Aliaghaei is a New York-based, Iranian writer/producer. She received her MFA from Columbia University and her BA from UC Berkeley in Film Studies and Comparative Literature. She has produced dozens of short films, as well as an ultra-low-budget feature film. Mehrnoush has also written three feature screenplays and a TV pilot. Making films for next to nothing is one of her obsessions in life, which she exemplifies in her non-thesis, Scheherazade.
