About the Writer/Director
SAMANTHA BUCK is a director, screenwriter and actress. She directed the Peabody Award winning documentary Best Kept Secret. It was a New York Times Critics Pick and the closing film on PBS’s series POV. Her first feature, 21 Below, premiered at Hot Docs and was broadcast on Channel 4. She is a recipient of the Sundance Institute’s Documentary Fund and the Adrienne Shelley Foundation Finishing Funds grant for female filmmakers.
About the Producer
MARIE SCHLINGMANN is a New York City-based director and screenwriter and is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in Film at Columbia University. She is the recipient of the David Jones Memorial Award for Best Director (2013). Before coming to New York, Marie worked at Razor Film in Berlin and graduated from Humboldt University with a degree in Gender and Cultural Studies.
