About the Writer/Director
Elif Ayan is a writer/director from Turkey. She worked as a screenwriter for TV series for major Turkish TV channels and was a screenwriter for the award winning feature film Bliss, which was rewarded by the European Council with the Prix Odyssee Human Rights Award in 2007. The first short film she directed, BOM!, was produced by Berlin Film Festival's Talent Campus.
About the Producer
Anna Gutto’s script LEILA M. won the 2016 Zaki Gordon Award for Excellence in Screenwriting and 2016 Columbia Faculty Selects. A Norway-born screenwriter and director, Gutto comes from a successful career in the theater that had The New York Times calling her “universally excellent.” She relocated to LA in July 2016 and is currently attached to direct the feature adaptation of the New York Times bestseller Radical Remission.
