An older Nigerian politician becomes obsessed with giving a foreign stranger a proper burial. He embarks on a relentless quest across Nigeria that forces him to confront his own life.

Born in Lagos, Nigeria, Olive Nwosu is a BAFTA-Pigott 2020 Scholar, Alex Sichel Fellow at Columbia University, an ‘African Promises’ director selected by the Institut Français, and a 2022 Sundance Screenwriting Fellow.


Olive has written and directed two award-winning short films: Troublemaker (2020 NBR Student Award, Criterion Channel) and Egúngún (Masquerade) (2021 TIFF, 2022 Sundance). She is in development on her first feature with Film4.
