Unitarians

by Shannon Kelley
TV Half-Hour

An eager, young Unitarian minister is excited to be ordained at her new church - the "spiritual home on her faith journey." But when she runs into an old rival, she's forces her to question if she really practices what she preaches.

Shannon is a screenwriter passionate about honestly depicting gay life in the American South (although she won’t shy away from banjos either). Specifically, she tells stories in her home state of Georgia about neurotic, queer women desperate to find community and acceptance in an indifferent world. She recently received her MFA in Screenwriting from Columbia University where she also received the Alex Sichel Fellowship.
