About the Writer/Director

Aisha Amin is an Pakistani-American filmmaker based in New York City. She works across narrative, documentary, and experimental forms of filmmaking. She is interested in telling stories about women who are the heroes of their own journeys. Aisha's work has been supported by institutions such as NYFA, Sundance, Cine Qua Non, The Blacklist, Women in Film, The Gotham and more. Her award-winning short films, Rumi (2022), Simone (2021) and Contours (2023) have screened at prestigious festivals and garnered Vimeo Staff Picks. Aisha will complete her MFA at Columbia University in Screenwriting in May 2025.

About the Producer

Nicole Pagonis is a Greek-American filmmaker/producer primarily raised in the Washington Metropolitan area. She graduated with Honors from New York University where she studied Social and Cultural Analysis. She went on to work as an Production and Office Manager at Market Road Films, an independent production company founded by two-time Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright, Lynn Nottage, and PGA and Emmy Award-winning film director, Tony Gerber. In her four years at MRF, she worked on a variety of projects including independent documentary films, documentary television for National Geographic and CNN, and commercial work for General Motors and Rolex. During her time at Columbia University, Nicole has produced many short films, several of which have been screened and awarded at film festivals worldwide.
